Thompson Joins Union Mutual as Regional General Claims Adjustor

Union Mutual of Vermont Companies is pleased to announce that Peter Thompson, AIC, has joined our Claims staff as a Regional General Adjustor. Peter, of Naples, Maine, will be assisting agents and policyholders in southern and central Maine. He has over 14 years of experience as a Claims Professional, having worked for Travelers Insurance in a variety of capacities. Thompson is a Fitchburg State College graduate.

Union Mutual Fire Insurance Company was founded in 1874. It owns New England Guaranty Insurance Company and is affiliated with Eastern Mutual Insurance Company of Greenville, NY. The three companies write personal and commercial property and casualty insurance company in New England and New York. In 2007 the Companies had gross premium volume of $100 million. The Companies are all rated "A minus (Excellent)" by AM Best & Company, the financial services credit rating organization.
