Pembroke Joins Union Mutual as VP of IT; LaCount Promoted to AVP
MONTPELIER – The Union Mutual Companies recently announced two significant personnel changes, with the hiring of Robert “Bob” Pembroke as Vice President of Information Technology and the promotion of Pamela LaCount to Assistant Vice President, IT Development.
Pembroke brings over 30 years of Information Systems experience to Union Mutual, having spent the majority of his career at Agri-Mark, Inc. (parent company of Cabot Creamery). He will oversee the Company’s Information Systems Operations and Information Technology Development departments.
“Bob is a strong addition to the Company’s leadership team,” Union Mutual President & CEO Lisa Keysar said. “His expertise and insight will further the Company’s focus on security, efficiency, and innovation.”
Pembroke lives in Barre, Vermont and is based in the insurance group’s Montpelier, Vermont office.
LaCount joined the Company in 1988 and has served in multiple roles within the Company, including Director of IT Development and Director of Customer Support. In her new role she will continue to manage the Company’s Software Development and Information Systems Operations staff.
“Pam is a valuable employee who constantly seeks growth and development for herself and for those around her,” Keysar said. “Her promotion to Assistant Vice President recognizes the significant responsibility that she has capably assumed in overseeing the IT Operations and Development functions of the Company.”
The promotion was effective January 1, 2022. LaCount lives in Worcester, Vermont and is based in the insurance group’s Montpelier, Vermont office.
